Who we are:
A Scouting America Troop focused on leadership and competence in the outdoors.
What we do:
The boys plan and lead our activities. We have monthly campouts focused on advancement and Scoutcraft skills. In a typical program year, Scouts will learn or improve skills in camping, cooking, hiking, backpacking, first aid, shooting sports, swimming and much more!
Our Troop attends Summer Camp and Winter Camp at Lost Pines Scout Reservation in Bastrop, TX.
We alternate between High Adventure Bases: Philmont Scout Ranch (2022, 2025), Northern Tier Okpik and Seabase (2023), Northern Tier Okpik and Summit Bechtel (2024), and Seabase (2026) for more adventure!

Troop Meetings, Thursdays, 7:00 pm
Camping, monthly, various parks and locations within 1 hour of Bee Cave.
Why Choose Troop 550?
We’re a small highly motivated Troop. Boys will have ample opportunities to build skills and advance. We have a high percentage of Scouts earning Eagle Rank, attending high adventure, attending National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE). Additionally, we have several members, youth and adult, staffing leadership camps, summer camp and instructing training.
